ABOUT AGRIC DEPARTMENT

The Department Promotes policies, strategies and appropriate agricultural technologies necessary to improve agribusiness, agro processing and crop/animal/ fish production; Reports on agricultural conditions, seasons and activities within a stipulated time frame; Represents the Department on Food and Agriculture Committees of the Region; Responsible for efficient management of human, financial and material resources for the implementation of agricultural programmes; Organizes agricultural field schools, workshops and seminars to assess farmers’ participation and the level of adoption of new farming technologies and practices; Liaises with major stakeholders to improve agricultural services delivery;
