The Mission for the Department is “To attain efficient cost-effective and sustainable integrated urban road transport system that is responsive to the needs of the Metropolitan Assembly”.

Our vision is simply “To provide a cost-effective and sustainable integrated urban road transport system to ensure accessibility, safety and reliability for the development of the metropolis”

Mandate / Core Duties

Urban Roads Department has the mandate to plan, develop and maintain road networks in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly.
