ABOUT LEGAL LEISON OFFICE

The Legal Leison Office is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the District Assembly, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and representing the Assembly in legal matters.

MAJOR ACIVITIES

    Provides legal support services to the following District entities:
  1. 1. General Assembly
  2. 2. Executive Committee & associated sub-committees
  3. 3. Departments
  4. 4. Sub-Metropolitan District Councils
  5. 5. Town Councils
  6. 6. Unit Committees
  7. 7. Prepares bylaws, contracts and agreements
  8. 8. Represents Metropolis in courts
  9. 9. Conducts the registration of all marriages in the Metropolis
  10. 10. Services complaints and claims for compensation
  11. 11. Supervises criminal prosecutions in Courts
